This is the sole tequila brand devoted to soccer players and fans. This single estate Blanco offers waves of jasmine and lavender perfume, with a glint of fresh agave. Sleekly textured, with a band of vanilla and earthy clay, along with black-peppered blueberries. Floral notes persist, leaving a long finish of heather and brown sugar. GOAL!
Aroma: This hits on all cylinders with a lot of Fruity Notes. Off the bat, the super sweet cooked agave greets you! You can really pick out the orange peel, lemon, and even a little grapefruit. There’s even a tropical fruit note like guava mixing in. There’s also an herbalness like fresh thyme and sage. Cinnamon and White Pepper play along nicely. And finally, there’s a nice minerality that shines through. Taste: Oh Boy!!! That sweet agave attacks the palate! All the citrus notes of orange peel, lemon, and grapefruit from the nose are very present in the taste! Tropical Fruitiness is playing a role here with a light guava and lychee. You can really get the thyme in flavor along with a light grassiness. There was no trace of pepper, but the cinnamon is a great accompaniment to the rest of what’s going on. It has a very nice creamy butteriness to it. The minerality helps balance all these other things out! Finish: The finish is near perfect! The Cinnamon and cooked agave hang on with a light tropical fruit note for 10-15 seconds. Sergio Cruz hit another one out of the park with Delantero!!! This is definitely a brand worth seeking out! This is one of the best tasting Blancos I’ve had this year! The complexity of the profile should resonate with aficionados and is approachable for a beginner on their journey! This will certainly be a staple on the shelf… Salud!!! TMM 89

Nose: Right away, you get cooked agave, fresh citrus, and a hit of florality. And if you know the 1414 profile, that signature minerality is right where you’d expect it. Palate & Mouthfeel: Excellent texture – it’s creamy and full without being heavy. Sweet cooked agave is front and center, backed by earthy notes and that same wet stone vibe from the nose. Citrus cuts through clean, and there’s a touch of anise in the mix. The floral character builds as it goes, and by the finish it starts leaning a bit astringent…not necessarily a bad thing, but noticeable nonetheless. Finish: Carries the floral edge through with some lingering spice. Hangs on longer than I realized at first. Final Thoughts: It’s not flawless, but it’s damn good. The florality rides the line – sometimes a little much, but I love that this profile is pushing the edge. The core flavors are solid, and it drinks like Spring in a glass.

Nose: Very crisp light aroma. Sweet lemon citrus with agave kick. Mild pepper. Grapefruit, fruity, herbal, and sweetness. Like a lemon cleaning product with mixed in, in a good way. Palate: Medium mouth feel and thickness. Sweet agave on the front palate. Shortly followed by beautiful savory butter. Earth and mild pepper comes in. Fruit with plum and prune. Nice sweet lemon finish.
